The Boss4 is a relatively fast, and high-health Zombie that first appears at Wave 35. Boss4 is immune to the level 5 DJ’s ability. The Boss4 also shares the same speed as the Hidden Boss.

The Boss4's head and arms are smooth and of a dark red color. Its armor is a slate textured black. It has a few black bands on its body and a chain on the right arm. The Boss4 has two arms that are out of proportion to each other; one is big while the other is small. Additionally the Boss4 has pipes sticking out of its front and back, with one spewing out what seems to be water. It uses its big arm (right arm) to aid in its walking.
Tactics[]
Defensive[]
- Level 5 Zeds can easily clear this boss, as well as multiple high-level Railgunners.
- Flamethrowers can also help by slowing down the Boss4 by 40%. It can also be frozen by the Cryo-Gunner.
- Level 5 Railgunners can easily chip away at the boss's health and a plethora of level 5 Railgunners will destroy the boss in seconds.
- Towers like Golden Commando are great for countering this boss as they do high DPS and are able to deal with hordes of these zombies.
- Strong splash towers such as Aviator, Tuber and mortar are great for chipping away health from Boss4s and other zombies that spawn alongside it.
- Max level Graveyards can counter rushes of boss4s.
- Multiple max level Snowballers can freeze hordes of boss4s, giving player’s towers more time to attack them.
- Max level Commandos can chip away large amounts from this boss quickly.
Offensive[]
- When Boss4 spawns, your opponents are usually well prepared, so it isn't recommended to send any of it unless they are already struggling.
Trivia[]
- Boss4 has a similar death noise as the Guardian.
- Boss4 is one of the eight Zombies to have a crooked head, the others being Lava, Boss2, Golem, and the Patient Zero.
- Boss4 is the second zombie that is immune to certain effects. The first is Lava.
- The new appearance of Boss4 resembles its beta version and the unreleased Boss5 model that Planet3arth made 3 years ago.
- Boss4 death sound also originates from the Tank Left 4 Dead.

- (3/23/18) Boss4 had a health boost. (7800 -> 8200)
- (5/17/18) Boss4 HP reduced (8200-> 7400), and the design was revamped to be smoother and emit green square particles.
- (8/10/19) Boss4 made about 9.49% bigger and now debuts on Wave 35. It also no longer emits green square particles and the skin was made a bit brighter.
- (7/22/20) Boss4 speed increased and revamped with an appearance change.
- (10/28/21) Boss4 is rebalanced to have a slight speed increase.
- (7/4/22) Boss4 had speed increased. (2.85 —> 3.00), and is now sendable in Versus.
